These Experimental Workshops are designed to help answer any questions you might have and to give you the opportunity to explore and experiment new materials and substrates with Curator of the Australian Watercolour Muster – 2020 Artist – Wyn Vogel, while she is in Cairns.

This year there will be four (4) Categories for Entry to the Australian Watercolour Muster – 2020 – One Artist from each Category below, will be selected as ‘Best in Category’ and offered a Solo Exhibition** to be held in Australian Watercolour Muster/Fish Lane Studios Exhibition Gallery – 4 Edmondstone Street – South Brisbane Queensland Australia 4101 – during an agreed 2 Weeks each over the period of the year 2021.

This month we will concentrate on our sky – learning the age old methods of running a ‘Bead’ and also travel from the ‘High Country’ of our Snowy Mountains to the beauty and intrigue of some little Italian Villages – exploring how to – ‘Tell a Story With Your Painting’!

Artist and Fish Lane Studios – Curator Wyn Vogel will demonstrate and work with you step by step to help explore what is possible – we will some beautiful sky exercises and then create a ‘Story’ prior to lunch on the Deck – catered again by BillyKart Restaurant – we have included a lunch voucher in the price of the Workshop.

This workshop is designed to give you an understanding of the human figure and styles that will translate and enable you to achieve these goals!
You will have a time tested approach to managing the proportions of the figure.
We will get you experienced in working off the cuff – so you can position the figure to be mobile or standing – riding or running.
We will discuss abstraction of the figure to become just a ‘Suggestion’ in your painting.
You can decide the direction from here – anime or reality!
