Our Vimeo Website has sort of been a repository of information and Video records of events and activities we have done over time – I am about to revamp this and produce some Digital Work/Workshops to share with everyone – now given the nature of Fish Lane Studios having spread our wings far and wide from Hamilton in Western Victoria back to Queensland and the beautiful shores of Moreton Bay – it is probably going to be one solution to enable us to continue to paint and talk together >>> so you are welcome to browse what we have and watch this space for new Work:

The Background
Prior to Covid …….. Fish Lane Studios and a collective of Artists worked together to produce a safe space where patients at the St Vincent’s Hospital on Kangaroo Point Brisbane – could be wheeled into an alcove or, if they were able to walk they could come and sit and feel like they were at the Beach or the Mountains – time to ponder and refresh their minds while they were clinically unable to go there!
With the support of a number of Artists especially Artist Pam Walpole from the Sunny Coast and Staff from the Hospital – at that time Curator of the Hospital Arts program Fiona Forrest – we rotated and changed the physical presence of the alcove over several years – with wonderful Manta Rays – Pam made from discarded milk bottles (sadly – I have hunted high and low for photos ?? Pam) to floral collections made by the patients and staff and installed with the help of young Student and emerging Artist Emmalyn Hawthorn – between us on turns on the ladders we were really happy with the outcomes!

Evolving to this – with a huge thanks to James from Quantum Sails Brisbane – who stitched all our canvases to enable us to hang them easily in our alcove!
And We – Also Did Static Installations
‘Soup’ – with StandUP Paddle Boards – spray painted in my then Yaroomba Studio on the Sunny Coast so much fun!
What’s to Come in 2026?
