DATE | 26th September 2020 – A different Picnic and Paint – with a trip to Kangaroo Point to sketch ‘Plein Air’ across the Brisbane River – Location and meeting time to be confirmed when you book.

Then back for Lunch on the Deck – with BillyKart Restaurant Catering and finishing of the painting in the Fish Lane Studios for the afternoon! ….. conditions on all Workshops are the ‘Covid 19 Conditions pertaining to any restrictions on these days’.

Botanical Workshop – No 2 – 2nd September 2020

Workshop No: 2 – We will continue building the understanding of the chemistry of Watercolour and optional ways to create the actual floral painting, from Workshop 1. However your welcome to join us as a startup Artist at the Workshop – as we are sharing techniques and ideas as we go.

For Workshops No: 3, 4 and 5 – we will look at the actual style of ‘Botanical’ you would like to represent in your Work – and how to capture this – digitise and create a portfolio of Work to showcase your individual style.

Our goal for this Workshop is to finish the paintings we started in July 2020 – with ‘Craig’s Hut’ from the High Country of Victoria, and our other ‘Story’ of our ‘Italian Washing Line’………. we will also discuss what makes a ‘Story’ – if we do not book out and you would like to join us we will still work with you to create one of the key images for this Workshop – ‘Italian Washing Day’!

run for 5 weeks – however you can choose to come 1 week or 5
• We will create a full story of botanical paintings for your portfolio
• You can choose to share via reproduction or just enjoy as Art on your
walls

Sketching and Figure Drawing – the basis of ‘Life’ drawing or ‘Anime’ sketching

This workshop is designed to give you an understanding of the human figure and styles that will translate and enable you to achieve these goals!
You will have a time tested approach to managing the proportions of the figure.
We will get you experienced in working off the cuff – so you can position the figure to be mobile or standing – riding or running.
We will discuss abstraction of the figure to become just a ‘Suggestion’ in your painting.
You can decide the direction from here – anime or reality!
