Opening Night of our 2018 Yaroomba Beach Art Residency

with No Comments

This is our 4th Yaroomba Beach Art Residency – which we commenced in 2016 to bring a creative energy to Yaroomba Beach with the opportunity to introduce internationally based Artists from the Fish Lane Studios – Stable of Artists to local Artists primarily based on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland – but also across Australia as possible.

The outcome of this relationship building in 2018 has meant that Artists from the Sunshine Coast and nationally across Australia were invited to participate in FabrianoInAcquarello – 2018 and 7 Australian Artists were able to travel with Curator of Fish Lane Studios – Wyn Vogel to Italy in May just gone.

Wyn has also Exhibited her Watercolour Work in France and run Workshops there this year, with Work going to Xi’an China this September.

We are looking forward to developing this Yaroomba Beach Art Residency further and invite you to join our Newsletter by subscribing – scroll down and submit the Mail-chimp form – https://www.fishlanestudios.com

We have to take our hats off to the Students and Staff from the University of the Sunshine Coast and to Professor Phil Graham – Head of School, School of Communication and Creative Industries and Dr Uwe Turton – Lecturer in Design who saw our vision and Partnered with us ?

Also a big thanks to our Partner’s of 4 years – Yaroomba Beach – thanks to Mr Hide Seguchi – Director Sekisui House, and his staff Evan Aldridge and Tomika Hose – who have mentored me, encouraged when I think perhaps I have bitten off more than I could chew and particularly Tomika’s wonderful attention to detail!

So Browse and Enjoy – thanks to you all for the support – here’s to more opportunities for Australian Artists to grow their Studios and commercial practices – opening the windows to share with our international colleagues!!
