This new initiative will bring to the Sunshine Coast talented Artists – fully immersed in the International Art Scene!

Fish Lane Studios is an international Creative Collective,
dedicated to enhancing our built environments for the well-being of those who occupy the space.

In 2016 in collaboration with @YaroombaBeach we brought 2 very special Artists to the Sunshine Coast

Yuko Nagayama – Japan – 5 to 12 June 2016

Yuko visited us on the Sunshine Coast – Queensland – Australia for 8 Days.

The first couple of days we will let her unwind and settle into her ‘Residency’ painting works inspired by the beauty of the Coast here in Australia.

This was Yuko’s first visit to Australia,  she found the plants and scenery – the light and cultures new and inspiring, leading her to create some stunning work which we Exhibited for her at the Design Centre Yaroomba.

Although Yuko works with flora and fauna, her portraiture and figure work is equally stunning!

Our 2016 Art Residency Program has been an opportunity for those of us passionate about our art to interact, workshop and learn with our ‘Visiting Artists’.

Thanks to Sekisui House Australia, Australian Knowledge Management Group,

The Sunshine Coast Council and Arts Queensland –
for  collaborating on the creation of this exchange of talent and skills.

Fish Lane Studios will continue to expand this Art Residency Program and have planning in the pipeline to take Sunshine Coast Artists traveling to showcase their work abroad.

We will continue to bring Artists of this calibre to the Sunshine Coast – as we grow!
