The purple lotus flower is mystical and spiritual and it's eight petals signify the Noble Eight-fold Path to self-awakening in the Buddhist teachings.......this noble eight-fold path: right view, right aspiration, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. That is the ancient path, the ancient road, traveled by the rightly self-awakened ones of former times. This Work was hung and then censored in Xi'an in September 2019 ...perhaps for the above connotations!
