This artwork is now being release as part of the ‘Collection’ of Work that has travelled the world and been selected as a finalist for the Malaysian International Juried OnLIne Art Comp. 2022 Artist Wyn Vogel has been The Australian Leader for FabrianoInAcquarello – Italy since 2018, each year works with Australian Artists to take a selection of Australian Work for Exhibition in this amazing international Art Show. As a result of being known in Italy Wyn has met and worked with many other Leaders from countries associated with Fabriano and is invited to be part of other Exhibitions such as the Malaysian Events to showcase her Artwork. This particular piece of Work is also one of Wyn's allegorical series - touching on the Biblical story of Adam and Eve and the eternal fig leaf that Eve is usually depicted as wearing - but in this case she has put it behind her - extrapolated in size - and stands tall hoping to make a difference in our war torn world!

Maimeri Blu features an absolute purity of pigments that, together with gum arabic, compose the totality of the mixture. Imperceptible, transparent, clean. No blending powders, and no additives. Nothing harmonises or synchronises the shift between the various shades. The real value lies in the transparency of its colours and in the freshness of its washes. It is the whiteness of the paper that illuminates this type of painting. The light is behind the colour.
The Series numbering on the Maimeri Blu – represent the level of pigment in the paints – which is the important comparative thing to consider for longevity of your Artwork as the higher the pigment level the higher the UV rating of your colour.

Sheets of 56 x 76cm can be broken into 1/2 sheets for some artwork - such as the sizing required for FabrianoInAcquarello - Italy each year. Her garden includes chickens wandering freely in the lush grass and the wonderful evolving flowers of the seasons - including the Eucharis Lilies - Geraniums and Elderberry Flowers with their magic blue berries ++ Wyn has incorporated her own 'Dream' species which add dimension and depth to the Work! This series of Work is inspired by the fact that Artist Wyn Vogel is travelling to the Kimberley in August 2024 with a group of Artists to explore and paint the 'Colours of the Kimberley' as part of our Remote and Rural Painting Year for the Australian Watercolour Muster - 2024 Artists who travel and painted over this trip were encouraged to select one of their original pieces from the trip to be part of an 'Adjunct' Exhibition for The Australian Watercolour Muster Biennale - 2025, which was held in Cairns over September/October 2025 @ The Old Court House Gallery and surrounding environs of Cairns, North Queensland Australia!
