Mist rising off the rugged slopes of the Blue Mountains captures the eye ……
A classical view of the 3 Sisters Katoomba Australia – etched in the heart of the artist – flows freely across the cold pressed watercolour paper. Inspired by the shifting mists of the mountains the soft wash of the sandstone cliffs, a subject that lends well to this watercolour technique and the chemical magic of the colours mixing on the surface of the painting!

The Strathbogie Ranges in Victoria – Australia are a rugged range of mountains, with spectacular views!
The rocky outcrops and twisted trees are the result of many cold winters and deep snow weathering and cracking the rocks on a daily basis – the colours and shapes are extraordinary!

This drive is one of my favourite moments in a day - on the left the houses drop away to become the Noosa National Park with twisting Banksia and She Oaks - mixing with a plethora of other tropical beach plants ......... as you round the corners you catch a glimpse of what is to be the most welcoming swim in warm tropical blue waters - a little aqua tips the edges - then the car and/or the bike (as the cyclists peddle every weekend) tears you away until the next rise - follow the white line is a memory - a perfect day for memories given the rain we are experiencing!
