We are exploring a local scene -
taken from a lookout over the popular beach
Robe - South Australia
The image selected by my Students took in the total view from the Lookout overseeing the scene across the water to the village of Robe - we are using this image to understand the colours of the south, which being a Queenslander I am still discovering this transition and to explore techniques to create soft loose water/seascape profiles!
We will start the day with some 'Water Exercises' - using our brushes to twist and shape the waves. After this we will do a ½ sheet 56 x 38cm Workshop image of the scene adopting the techniques practiced in the morning!
Remember to check the Materials list included in the notes below - and also bring your Picnic Lunch - tea and coffee are available all day!
