“…….My wabisabi jewellery reflects my love and respect for things that are old, recycled, rustic, weathered and everyday. These objects have a history – a time, place and purpose of origin and a connection with previous owners………using non precious metals and materials, and a strong and simple sense of design, I give my found objects a new lease of life.
Much of my jewellery is created from reclaimed antiques silver plated [EPNS] trays. Heat treating creates a variety of textures and patinas. Components are then shaped, filed, soldered, polished and combined with other elements to produce individual, unique adornments…”
The jewellery can be maintained in the same way as sterling silver jewellery. Liquid silver dips rather than abrasive pastes will keep the shine and lustre. Black neoprene [rubber] cords can be straightened by immersing in very hot water for a short time. this will not affect the metals.
We freight by secure transport and details for this are calculated on the shopping cart – if you have any inquires please contact us – especially if we are freighting for you overseas to ensure delivery details are clear – thanks!

SLOW TIME … notes to self
My paintings and their sense evolve naturally out of the actual process of doing the painting. Each one is a long slow meditation really. Requiring solitude, focus, listening and following. It also means that when I start, I have no idea what they will look like in the end. An exciting adventure as well as a mighty challenge! I start with building up lots of layers of colours, textures and marks, with oil paints and cold wax medium, oil sticks. There’s not too much thought, just getting wrapped up in the viscerality of the paint…and dissolving and digging into the layers to see what’s underneath. At some point in the slow process, the painting suggests a compositional path to work with. But this can change, often! The paintings are always about organic things, memories of the physical landscape as it relates to my interior disposition. I want them to be about depth and mystery, that there’s more there than a surface consolation. So, when I get to the place where I feel it’s done to my satisfaction, I reflect on what it says to me. What is the sense I am getting from it? And then comes the title, intentionally ambiguous, to leave you to decide for yourself. These SLOW TIME paintings speak to me of quietness and breathing spaces, a reminder to me (notes to self) … of the way they were made … in SLOW TIME … paying attention to whatever is happening. Listening. Following. Trusting. And a reminder to me of how to be in the rest of my life. Instead of always being ‘busy’, doing stuff, going somewhere, thinking about the next thing, always stimulated. On the phone. Information overload. Distracted. A reminder of my need for silence and stillness, to gather together my fragmented self. This poem, for me, says a lot about this. TODAY ……… Mary Oliver Today I’m flying low and I’m not saying a word. I’m letting all the voodoos of ambition sleep. The world goes on as it must, the bees in the garden rumbling a little, the fish leaping, the gnats getting eaten. And so forth. But I’m taking the day off. Quiet as a feather. I hardly move though really I’m traveling a terrific distance. Stillness. One of the doors into the temple. Please note we deliver by secure Artwork Transport, the packaging and delivery costs are estimated only on the shopping cart if you have any inquiries please contact us on our contact from on the top menu – especially if you are requiring freight overseas.
