'Creative expression is my first love my therapy and my passion’
Emma Rose Art
As an artist, Emma Rose paints intuitively, with a focus on colour and mood which evolves with energy and vibrancy. Creating colourful, bold, eye catching florals and other abstracted designs.
Her art process celebrates many layers; often with unique and expressive line work, delicious washes and pops of fluro colour.
Emma Rose is Brisbane based abstract artist exploring many mediums such as acrylic, high flow acrylic, soft pastels, watercolour and spray paint.
This Series of Work draws on Artist – Alex Ashton’s Colour of Memory
As a painter and print maker – her materials and medium interconnect to explore the immersive experience of ‘place’, the colour of memory and the mark of intention.
Recent work has focused on gesture as a means of containing relational memories.
The Australian landscape is investigated as a repository, a witness, to the activity of the natural and man made world, investigating the landscape as a site which can record and reveal aspects of human experience through our interaction with it.
The vitality of painting and drawing within the immersive environment provides a structure through which temporality is both experienced and explored.
Inspired by the iconic islands of New Caledonia - this image represents the 'Spirit of Place'.
The Islanders face the issues of global warming, now washing their palm trees and gardens and in some cases their homes away!
The funding from the sale of this Artwork will go directly to the Carteret Island People to assist them with their relocation from their homeland Atolls to higher ground! (less cost of transport).
