The Lake House Studio

From a young age, Caroline Deeble was a creative thinker. With some of her earliest memories from the age of 4 painting the blossom trees in her preschool garden classroom.  Her creative journey was also encouraged by her father, (Cinematographer, Writer, Film Producer), who introduced her to the beauty of the natural world. Encouraging her to see the detail in every object, to notice the light shimmering on the water, and the colours of the rocks in the river beds and the colour of morning light to the dusky evening shadows. Her desire to create beautiful art has never ceased. Her love of exploring nature from oceanic reefs, high mountain streams & the Australian bush can be seen through her life-long creative journey in her artworks.

Today Caroline’s artwork has evolved and can be expressed as ‘contemporary nature’ in its style. Predominately a watercolour artist, Caroline explores unique ways to share her love of the natural world. Often called ‘the RockArtist’ & known also as a ‘seascape artist’, her artwork has included many paintings of natural water courses, river beds, ocean reefs & shores, to rain-forests.

Her unique style has been created on her artistic journey over 30+ years of exploring layers of colour, shadows, while capturing the essence of free-flowing water. Her chosen artwork: ‘High Country Stream’, selected for exhibition in Italy is a wonderful example of her unique watercolour style.  The artwork reflects comments from her art collectors how they can feel the water running through her artwork, as they become immersed in the refreshing clear, clean waters of the streams & oceans in her paintings. She believes through her painting the viewer can connect with nature, it’s gentle rhythm, is immense power & its cleansing ability of calming for the soul.

As an artist with a background in arts education, Caroline shares her creative skills in her private studio in Canberra Australia with small group adult art mentoring sessions, watercolour workshops & weekly classes.  Caroline can be viewed by art enthusiasts around the globe on her feature episode of ‘Colour in Your Life’.  Her artwork has received international recognition, award winning and collected by art lovers locally and internationally for many years.
