    Hi there,

Is this class suitable for beginners?
I was also wondering if the specific brand of paint colours and brush is mandatory? I have basic watercolours that are similar in colour (but not the same brand) and a selection of paint brushes I want to know if I can use instead.

Hi Nancy – thanks for asking and yes this class is suitable for beginners 🌞 I start each class with a warm up and explanation of the mixing of paints etc – depending on who is attending of course if it’s participants who have been through it all then we skip to the next step quickly but given we are just emerging this year I remind everyone of the techniques!

You are welcome to bring all your painting kit – brushes, paints, pencils and nib pens if you have them – any brand of paints is acceptable so long as their ‘Watercolour’!!

However, I do love to use the brushes mentioned in the profile of the Workshop – so you are welcome to come and see why we use these and the freedom they give you! Cheers and best regards Wyn
