So proud to be part of this unique festival in Xi’an China 2018 – commencing 7th September to 7th October ’18
As one of the two international art festivals approved by the Chinese government, Silk Road International Art Festival (SRIAF) is cosponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government.
The International Art Exhibition of SRIAF is host by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and organized by Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT).
This year, the 5th International Art Exhibition of SRIAF will be held in Xi’an Museum of Fine Arts from September 7, 2018 to September 21, 2018 with artworks of 305 artists from 118 countries and regions.
All the artworks are divided into different types, such as oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, sculpture, watercolor, installation and photography.
The General Artistic Counsel of the International Art Exhibition is – Prof. Wu Weishan, the director of National Art Museum of China and the vice president of Chinese Artists Association. The Academic Host is Prof. Lin Baogang, the Dean of the College of Arts of XAUAT. The General Curator is Mr. Wenji, with Mr. Li Xiangqun as the curator of the Chinese section, Mr. Yeoh Choon Seng as the curator of the Asia and Europe section, Mr. Song Xiaoming and Loit Joekalda as the curator of the Europe section, Billy Lee as the curator of the America section, Kouame Kouassi Marc Eric as the curator of the Africa section and Ms. Zhao Li as the curator of the Latin America section.
Held once a year, the International Art Exhibition of SRIAF is an art banquet attended by artists from the largest number of countries in China. With 5 years’ development, the International Art Exhibition of SRIAF has become an international art exhibition with considerable scale and worldwide influence.
By holding the International Art Exhibition of SRIAF, we would like to provide artists from all over the world an inclusive, innovative platform and spread friendship through culture.
